Dianah Silvers is a 2023 RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduate of South University, Orlando. Today, Dianah works as a registered nurse in acute care for Orlando Health.

She found South University while doing research online and spoke with an admissions representative the same day she discovered the school.

“I chose this program because I knew it was the first step to becoming a nurse practitioner,” says Dianah. “What made it special was the one-on-one learning as well as the passion our teachers demonstrated.”

As a student, Dianah refined her nursing skills but also grew in ways she hadn’t anticipated.

“They also instilled being on time into us as well as maintaining professionalism at all times, being able to communicate effectively, and always being caring to our patients,” she shared. “I thank South University. They helped mold me into the professional I am today.”

Her interactions with the people around her were another important aspect of her time at South University. She built many strong relationships as a student, including with the faculty and staff.

“The staff at South University became like a second family to me. My teachers believed in me, which gave me strength when I doubted myself. The faculty always took great care of us,” Dianah said.

For anyone considering going to nursing school at South University, Dianah advises to make the leap. “Ask all the questions you need and know people are going to be there to back you up!” she says.
