Jennifer Bradley

Jennifer Bradley is the founder and director of The Carrington Clinic, where she provides nursing care to patients with mental health needs. She is a certified family nurse practitioner1 and a graduate of South University. Jennifer earned her online2 Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015. Today, we are excited to share that she is a 2024 South University Alumni Award Honorable Mention winner.

Jennifer has 20 years of experience in healthcare. After working for years as a registered nurse, her family's encouragement helped push her to continue her education in nursing. “It only felt right to choose family nurse practitioner as my field of study,” she says. “This would allow me to be more involved in my patients' treatment and give me more autonomy.”

Once Jennifer started talking to South University, her admissions representative addressed her every question and concern. “She made the admissions process so easy and alleviated my fears of returning to school as a busy, single mom,” Jennifer recalls.

Earning an MSN helped Jennifer learn a lot. She grew her ability to provide patients with quality, evidence-based care. “At South University, I felt like I was given real-life experiences,” she says. “The knowledge and information given were based on life-like scenarios that I still apply to my clinical practice today.”

Throughout her MSN program, Jennifer continued to have positive experiences with the faculty and staff, who she describes as very encouraging and knowledgeable. They were always available when she needed them, including accommodating her needs as she dealt with the unexpected passing of her sister.

The loss of her sister was one of several difficult losses Jennifer has had in her life. Together, these experiences have helped prepare Jennifer to be an even more compassionate and competent provider to those who also face personal struggles. At The Carrington Clinic, which she named after her deceased son, Jennifer strives to provide services that are accessible and affordable to all, regardless of race, socio-economic status, or cultural background. With locations in Georgia and Arizona, Jennifer applies an integrative approach to caring for patients of all ages with anxiety, ADHD, behavioral disorders, depression, schizophrenia, sleep disorders, and mood disorders.

Jennifer has also made an impact in her community outside of nursing. She has awarded multiple students a one-time $1000 scholarship known as The Tuwanna Marie Minority Scholarship. She has held back-to-school drives where she gave hundreds of underprivileged youth backpacks and school supplies. She is also an advocate for social justice and criminal justice reform.

South University is proud to have Jennifer as a graduate, and we admire her work in her clinic and community!
