Bernice Loman has always been interested in the field of business, so much so that she left her hometown in North Carolina to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at South University, Savannah. Today, Bernice uses the skills she learned in that program every day as the owner of a successful technology and marketing firm.
“South University gave me a chance to start new. I knew no one in Savannah but I had a dream,” she says. “South allowed me to move forward with a dream.”
While Bernice was at first nervous about being in a new city, she eventually settled in and found support and community at South University, Savannah. She worked during the day and attended classes in the evening. After completing her MBA degree in 2012, Bernice put her knowledge to use and founded Loman Creative Services. Running that business is now her full-time job, as she leads a team of marketing and technology professionals and oversees the business operations, training, and creative services at the firm. The firm’s services include marketing campaign development, videography, photography, logo and identity design, website development, online course creation, and more.
Bernice is a Certified Solution Provider of Constant Contact, Certified Executive Business Coach, Zoom Partner, and is Google Certified for Mobile Websites. She has partnered with tech organizations that include Microsoft and GoDaddy. She also holds a Women’s Entrepreneurship Certification from Cornell University. Outside of her business achievements and strategic partnerships, Bernice is active in her local community and has received awards from two nonprofits she supports: Divine Rest Inc and My Veterans Place Savannah.
Bernice also serves community members in Savannah and beyond by providing technology, branding, and marketing training so they can expand in their business. She has even traveled the world as a motivational speaker and is hosting a business summit in Kenya in September 2023. In the future, she aims to expand her business summit to additional countries that need business training and resources.
Most recently, Bernice has been focused on teaching businesses how to use Virtual Reality (VR) to expand their brands. In addition to supporting business professionals, she also provides her services to ministry leaders.
“South’s challenging courses prepared me for being in business,” says Bernice. “Many doors opened up for me because of my MBA.”
